Early Look : 2009 BMW M3 Convertible

You've seen BMW's new M3 Coupe. You've seen the M3 Sedan. Now it's time for a look at the last piece of the puzzle — the M3 Convertible. Several photos leaked online today ahead of the car's official debut.

Like the Coupe and Sedan, the Convertible is powered by a 4.0 liter V8 producing 420 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. The drop-top's main competitors are the Audi RS4 Convertible and the Mercedes CLK 63 AMG.

BMW is also using the convertible to debut its seven-speed M DCT dual-clutch transmission. More details are expected in the coming days.
